This tool allows coiled tubing operators to swab wells while doing normal cleanouts. Typically these wells can’t be swabbed prior because of the sand and the lack of pulling power on a swabbing unit. Plus the horizontal wells could be swabbed with a coil unit as it can push(swabbing can’t). The way the tool works is that the swab cups slide up the mandrel, as it descends into the well and the coil operator is able to clean out the well like any other unit. As soon as he pulls any tension, the cups slid down and the jets are then on the top side of the cups to prevent the tool from becoming stuck in the well. As the coil operator leaves the well he pulls a full swab, which can go directly to his catch tank. The extended nose and hook allow operators punch and grab any debris down hole. Best of both worlds!
